Saturday Severe

Here's what we know as of Tuesday:

- The system aloft will have what we call a negative tilt. The trough will be oriented from southeast to northwest. This will enhance parameters which favor strong to severe thunderstorms.

- There will be extensive cloud cover and rain, which may limit the severe storm potential with lower instability.

-High winds will be the primary threat for storms which develop. You can never rule out tornadoes.

-This should not be an overnight event and occur during the daylight hours Saturday

-Last, but certainly NOT least, flash flooding and river flooding will be a problem

Since this is still several days away, all of the above is subject to change. Since it's the weekend, many of you have outdoor activities and should stay weather aware.
