Population of Arkansas Will Increase Dramatically in 5 Years

On this day in 5 years, Arkansas will be the center of the universe, along with a few other states. A total solar eclipse will cut a swath from southwest to northeast Arkansas with Little Rock getting 2.5 minutes of totality.

The Ouachita's and Ozarks will offer a great setting to this spectacular event.

5 years is quite awhile down the road, but there are several things as a state we will need to consider. Lessons could be learned from last year's eclipse in other states. The influx of tourists will be tremendous and how will that affect traffic, emergency vehicles, resources, etc? Sounds crazy, but these were real issues last year.

Also, the economic impact will be huge as well. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out once we get closer to this event.

I hate to sound like "Debbie Downer", but this is set to occur in April of 2024. April is one of the wettest months of the year. If it's cloudy, it could be the biggest disappointment of the century too. I'll stay away from the prediction until we get a bit closer. LOL.
